Personal Statement

As an individual I have good interpersonal and working skills. I am capable of working very well under stress. I can work well on my own initiative and contribute towards the team. I am confident and reliable person to work with. I have good communication skills and can work well in a team, giving ideas and suggestions. I am a conscientious person who works hard and pays attention to detail. I am flexible, quick to pick up new skills and eager to learn from others. I also have lots of ideas and enthusiasm. I am consistent in approaching and adapting my behaviour to meet the age, needs and abilities of individual children and planning, providing and reviewing activities which reflect the needs of children, i. e. their fine manipulation skills, gross motor skills and eye-hand coordination. Where I have been working with children, in groups and on a 1-to-1 basis, I have provided the best support by planning activities and reviewing progress so they achieve their full potential in education and development.

Additionally:
• I am capable of encouraging parents to share any concern or information related to young adults’ development and care.
• I also kept parents informed about their child’s development and progress.
• I have the ability of carrying out individual caring routines for babies. I can wash, dress, feed and change their nappies.
• I know how to use different ways to calm and reassure a baby/child who is upset.
• I am capable of promoting the language and learning of the baby/child by planning, providing and reviewing variety of activities that are developmentally appropriate for them by singing, listening and talking.
• I have supported children in personal hygiene routines as well and promoted hygiene awareness during the routines of hand washing, care of the teeth, care of hair and skin and toileting.
• I have also had the experience in working in offices whilst being at placements. I am conversant with Microsoft Word Document, Microsoft Word Excel, Microsoft Publisher and Microsoft Power Point.
