I am a 21-year-old student at the University of Bradford studying Psychology. I would characterise myself as a positive, calm, enthusiastic, active and in general a happy person! :)
I really like travelling, meeting new people, reading, being outdoors, helping others, writing, spirituality and psychology and creativity.
I love being with children as they are very playful and generous. It boosts my happiness too! People reflect each other, so I believe how one feels, also impacts the other.
I believe trustworthiness is an extremely important attribute that parents seek in a babysitter. Your children would be in safe hands, so there is no need to worry about this.
I am an active person, so I like trying new things - the variety of different kinds of activities! This is living life.
I consider myself as a highly motivated person. Once I start with something I carry on doing it. For example, I have done sports all of my life and I never intend to give it up.
I am clean, I don't drink nor smoke. I can cook for your children and get them involved in the preparing as well if they like it. Creativity!
I was helping out in London in 2012 for two months in a sweet family. I had to take a 5-year-old boy to school and back home again and sometimes I was out with a 2-year-old girl in the park during the day, but mostly the dad was at home. Sometimes after school I was supervising the 5-year-old with maths and reading. During the mornings I was often the one to provide the breakfast for the children.
In 2013, I stayed in Sweden for 2 months. For one month : While the mother of a 5-year-old and a 3-year-old was working, I stayed with them and we did fun activities together. For example, most of the time we were outside in the park and often had picnics. I would also take them to see the sights of Uppsala. We painted a lot and played together.
The second month: Children started going to school and the kindergarten, so most of the times it was me who drove them there and back. After school and kindergarten we would be out in the park or do something else active.
I was a babysitter in the same family also in Estonia (I am orginally from there) for several months. I looked after the children, cooked for them, came up with ideas what to do together, and we spent a lot of time outside because we all love outdoor activities. :)
Through childcare experience I have learned to be more responsible, creative, patient in the cases of conflicts, and overall happy because that is something I love doing! :)
From both of these experiences I have a reference to provide if you need one.
I also have a 7-year-old brother , so I have looked after him a lot as well. He gave me the first childcare experience ever!
