Sarah, after-school childcare - BN2 Brighton

My name is Sarah, I'm a student at the University of Brighton, currently in the 1st year of my course in English Literature. Due to my hours at university I would like a job babysitting in the evenings but I would also be available during the day at the weekend. Before coming to university in Brighton I had child minded for multiple people as a part time job over the past 4 or so years and found that I work really well with the kids and it is something I actually quite enjoy. I really am in need of a bit of extra money being a student and being able to do some studying if the children are asleep is an extra benefit of this type of job. I think I find a good balance between having fun and getting on well with the kids I mind and being responsible for the duties their parents want me to carry out. I have also previously minded a child with a mild form of autism and have given him his medication on many occasions so I would feel quite confident doing this if necessary. I am able to cook for the kids and I am happy to clean or tidy if needed to do so as I have done this for my previous employers. I will also make sure they get to bed on time which I know is very important for younger children especially. If required to I can also help with homework.
