I am a qualified social worker. I have 2 children of my own a stepson and four grandchildren. One of my grandchildren is on the autistic spectrum and therefore I am aware of the challenges of caring for children with special needs. I have worked with both young children and young people. Many of the children I worked with had special needs and or behavioural problems. I was responsible for planning and supervising play activities, trips both day and residential. I also liaised with educational and medical professionals.
