I am 20 years old and in the process of becoming a primary school teacher. I am currently at the University of Glasgow doing an MA in Educational Studies and I will then proceed to do a postgraduate teaching qualification. Throughout my 6th year at school I volunteered in a primary 4 class every Friday to gain experience working with children and whilst at university I have spent 7 full weeks in a variety of different primary school settings, working with all ages of primary school children. I am also a Beaver Scout leader where I plan and run activities for children aged between 6 and 8 and I have done this for 4 years now. Through the Beaver Scouts I have gained my SCQF level 6 Leadership award and I gained my 500 hour SALTIRE volunteering award 2 years ago now.
