Emma, childcare in Camberley

Hello! I'm Emma and I'm 20 from Camberley in Surrey. I'm caring, smiley, enthusiastic person that likes to be on the go! My hobbies include yoga, baking, singing (often out of tune) and just doing general crafty bits. I love long walks and I'm a big animal lover! I am currently a student at Winchester University and I'm in my second year of studying Education with Health, Community and Social Work, it's a broad degree but so far I'm thoroughly enjoying it! The days I attend university are Monday and Tuesday so my availability to work is all days apart from those two.

I really do enjoy working with children and young people! From the age of 15 I assisted in the running of children's parties, this really taught me that every child is different and all have diverse needs and interests, this role was my first step towards working with children and taught my the importance of my patience, good time keeping and being prepared for the unexpected!
For the past 3 years I have also been a part time nanny to two little girls. Day to day responsibilities were feeding and changing the girls and getting them prepared for their days, then I would take them to pre-school and school and after school most days I would arrange fun and educational activities, such as baking, pirate alphabet letter hunts, nursery rhyme dances, swimming, I love to be active and I like to encourage children to be to! I also have experience with potty training too.
I have also worked in pre-school and nursery settings, which has allowed me to work with children of a variety of ages! I understand the importance of planning and recording and of course the building of a strong rapport with parents! I also have sound knowledge of the EYFS framework and this allows me to tailor my activities to the child's needs.
