Claye, after-school childcare in Elston

My name is Claye , I am 16 years old, currently completing my Level 2 Childcare Qualification as an apprentice in Preston, alongside my apprenticeship I am a regular babysitter and have been doing this for the past 3 years as looking after children as something I want to gain as muchexperience in for my long term goal of a nursery nurse. With my course I have a full DBS check and I am a trusted young adult.

I work during the day from 8.30-3.15pm and some weekends, however If I am informed that I am needed within a reasonable time period I am able to book parents in to secure my services.

I would describe myself as a confident, fun, honest and relaible person within the childcare sector and can back this up with references if needed, I believe all children need to feel comfortable and at ease around their babysitter/childminder and feel I am perfect to furfil this role.

I am able to help with homework and additonal learning outside of school by helping with reading and literacy, basic maths and have a wide range of knowledge which I can use to my advantage.

I am able to cook and understand the importance of a healthy balanced diet which I encouarge all children to follow, I also follow a healthy diet and believe I set a good example to many young children.

I am an auntie to two children and have used the skills and love I have for my nieces to nurture and take care of other children, one of my strong points being my ability to comfort and support children, I believe it is important to reassure children who are unsure that they are safe and try to distract them from a worrying situation through emotional support such as; hugs and comforting but also playing games and having fun.

I can lead activites such as; arts and crafts, outside garden games and leading by the childs imagination, all children are different and prefer to play different games, I believe that I can adapt my activites to suit all childrens needs.
