Hello! I am a 17 year old student living in Ewell, attending Nonsuch High School for Girls. I am currently doing my first year of A-Levels and I am looking for a part-time job as I have a lot of extra time. Furthermore, I am very interested in having a career as a carer for children and would love to get some experience in this field.
Although I don't have any younger siblings, I have looked after my younger cousins many times and entertained them. I am a very energetic person and can play games/do activities with children. I am also very patient with any and every kind of person.
I am looking to care for children age 4-11. I would be able to pick them up from school (providing they live in walking distance from their school to their home as I do not have a driving license/car) and look after them for a few hours until their parents arrive home. I would also be able to help children with their homework. I have 10 GCSE qualifications and would happy to discuss my results and teaching ability with you.
I am also interested in babysitting children for longer periods of time at the weekend, or in half-term/Christmas/Easter/Summer breaks.
The minimum wage for my age in the UK is £4.05. I think that to look after children requires a lot of energy and attention, so I think it is fair to add £3 or £4 extra on top of this. However, I am fully willing to negotiate with the family if they feel that my pricing is too high.
