Bethany, after-school childcare in West Dorset

I have a passion for children and I enjoy encouraging their creativity and I am not afraid to get messy! I ensure that each child is nurtured and provided with a safe environment for them to explore, to be themselves and to just be kids. They are our future after all.

Although not necessarily childcare related I do carry a BSc (Hons) in Animal Behaviour and Welfare which I graduated from in November 2017. As part of my dissertation I studied the effects that Companion Animals had on Children aged between 5-11 years from over 600+ questionnaires from 6 different Dorset Schools. Although no definitive conclusion was made from my study, other major studies are currently being carried out and the researchers are finding strong positive links.

I have 5+ years of voluntary experience within GirlGuiding UK. Currently, I am awaiting my ability to settle in my own home before finishing my Adult Qualification. The qualifications I do possess are a Certificate of Participation in Making a Difference at Lunchtimes and a Certificate of Participation in Including Children in the Playground.
