I am 22 and a student currently looking for childcare work as this for me is a really enjoyable way to make some extra money because I love to be around children. I have had my own house for 2 and a half years so I'm used to cooking and doing housework. I spend a lot of time with my nephew who is 5 months old and have babysat him since he was a new born. I have a 10, 8 and 6 year old cousin who I've grew up with and frequently babysat so I am comfortable looking after children of a variety of ages. My mother was a key stage 1 teacher so I have a variety of resources at hand to help the children to learn and play. As I've been in education continuously since I was 5 I am comfortable helping out with homework. I'm looking for a position in part time care and or babysitting and can work up to 20 hours a week. I have an enthusiastic approach with children and believe that encouraging them through learn and play they will grow in confidence and reach their full potential.
Occasional babysitting | $7.00 per hour |
Partial / after-school care | $6.50 per hour |
These rates are around about what I would expect but I am open to negotiation. As I don't have any professional qualifications in childcare just personal experience I don't charge rates which are very high. As I would be working less hours babysitting I would charge a slightly higher rate.
