My name is Jaycee Ward - I'm a 20 year old female who loves to be in the company of Children. I moved to Leeds in September 2015 for University and am looking desperately for a job in working with children that also allows me to continue with my studies at the University of Leeds.
I feel that I make a fantastic child carer because of my experience. Since a young age of 14 I have been in a family of children - a niece now age 6, a nephew also now age 5, and another nephew who is now 3 - and have had the opportunity to help out where necessary with all three children. I have also worked in 2 daycares, a nursery school, and a primary school as part of placement whilst training for my CACHE Level 3 Diploma in Childcare and Education. I attained that, with an overall A grade, and was commended for my commitment to the children within my placements. I am now a second year undergraduate in BA (Hons) Childhood Studies.
I put the children's needs first and I always make sure that they learn through playing too - I give them opportunity to make new findings on their own but also encourage them with certain activities such as finger painting, and ball games to help them develop things like Fine Motor skills and Gross Motor Skills. I ensure they're comfortable: fed; watered; nappies changed (if necessary); warm; happy and laughing.
Occasional babysitting | $6.50 per hour |
Partial / after-school care | $5.00 per hour |
To be honest, I am very open to any rate as long as it isn't below £5 an hour. I'm very flexible, but am a student and can't be doing a doing that is pittance pay. I feel the commitment and the work I give is at the value of £5 an hour and above.
