Ru, after-school childcare - NG16 Nuthall

I enjoy looking after and interacting with children of all ages. I find being around children gives you a sense of purpose especially when you are able to make a difference by safeguarding their wellbeing which encourages them to develop socially and emotionally by engaging with you. I enjoy playing games with children, inside and outdoor games whether it be a board game or playing with a football. I can also play learning games and do craft sessions to keep them entertained.

Now a bit about me: I love nature and enjoy going for walks, hiking and swimming which I do in my spare time. I like to visit national trust sites throughout the country. I am very passionate about flowers and trees and enjoy being surrounded by the natural beauty of the countryside. I also enjoy cooking, reading and listening to music.

For the past 9 years I have been working in a primary school. I have experience working with different age groups from early years through to 11 year olds. I enjoy my role in supporting the needs of children through play and teaching where I support their learning through use of resources and my knowledge. I have a BA Degree in Education and Training which has given me an insight into how children develop and learn. I also have a Foundation degree in Early Years which has given me an insight into how the needs of babies and toddlers need to be met. With this in mind I am able to set the foundations of developing and meeting the individual needs of children through experience within the workplace and theory which has underpinned my knowledge together with my own personal experience of having a child who is now a teenager. I also have experience of being a nanny in the the client's home where I have looked after children including siblings. With my experience and caring nature I would be delighted to be given the opportunity to care for your child/ren as I would care for my own.
