Hannah, after-school childcare in Penwortham

Hello I am Hannah! I am currently taking a year out from Education following A-level success, before commencing training to be a Mental Health Nurse in September (2017). For the next few months I am hoping to gain caring experience and save some money to contribute to my studies. Thus I am completely flexible to provide any amount of care required and will be available over the summer.

Although I may not have a wealth of experience I do not see this to be a problem. Throughout my education I have been a straight A student, so I will be well equipped to help and encourage learning, including tutoring and helping to complete homework to a high standard. Yet I am also very keen on creativity and being active in my spare time. Therefore, I believe I could provide lots of fun and exciting activities from craft activities, to baking, to outdoor games and pursuits. Added to this I am a keen cook and enjoy helping around the house at home, so I would be more than willing to help with any household needs as well as the basic needs of the children.

Yet, throughout the past few years I have undertaken some roles in which I have gained experience with working with a diverse range of people with a wide range of needs. Thus, meaning I am comfortable, enjoy and engage well with a vast range of ages and people. Specifically, in relation to children and young people I have helped arrange and run activities for a local summer holiday group, undertaken the role of student governor at college and helped write and deliver lessons to primary school aged children in partnership with Lancashire fire and rescue service.

I believe I would bring great energy and enthusiasm to any care I will give. Also, I grew up with a part time childminder so I have a great value and understanding of the enrichment and help this role can provide for both children and parents.
