Hannah, after-school childcare in Prestwick

My name is Hannah I am a Primary education student at the University of Edinburgh . I am interested in working part time during the summer months and I am available from May until September.As a childcarer I am enthusiastic and enjoy thinking of fun activities that the children will enjoy and learn from.I love working with children and try my best to be kind but I also believe it is important to be fair and respect the boundaries the parents have set. I have grown up in a church which has allowed me to help at holiday clubs and Sunday school. During the summer of 2014 I went to Romania with a team where we ran holiday clubs and English lessons. This was a life changing experience which really taught me to appreciate how much I have. It involved a lot of organisation and I learnt a number of games and activities to teach the children. Furthermore, I have worked in a number of primary schools to gain experience and on placement. I love being able to see how the classroom works and learn about different activities. Personally, I have learnt a lot from these placement days and I think that an experience in a family's home would be really helpful and beneficial
