Katie, after-school childcare in Salford M6

I am a 23 year old woman who is currently living in Swinton with my family. I have wanted to care for children since I was in college and began an apprenticeship in level 3 early years education at a private day nursery when I was 18, which I completed in 16 months and continued working at the nursery. After working there for 2 and a half years I was promoted to a team leader in the 2-3's room. I love working with children as it is an amazing experience to watch them grow and knowing that you were able to help them in the learning and development. I am a very calm and patient person who enjoys reading, singing and carrying out fun activities with children that are appropriate to their age and stage of development. I am also very clean and organised. Outside of work I enjoy reading, learning and trying new things and spending time with my friends and family.

I have 3 and half years of experience working in a private day nursery, looking after up to 20 children at a time from the ages of 0-4, with the most experience being caring for children aged 2-3. My role involved safeguarding the children as well as promoting their health, safety and development whilst caring for their emotional and physical needs.
