Hello, my name is Laura; a 17 year old Newcastle College student studying A Levels in Biology, Psychology and Geography. I have 12 GCSE's Grade A*-B and a Grade 5 distinction in Piano, so am overly happy to help with any homework or work which children require. After college I hope to study Biomedical Science at university commencing 2018. After this my dream is to work with children in a medical setting, and I currently volunteer weekly on a Maternity Ward at Royal Stoke University Hospital.
Last Christmas period I was working at M&S but left to increase my volunteering and focus on my A-Levels, as that is what I love to do. I have a full DBS check which can be seen upon request and can supply references from my volunteer coordinators if necessary.
At my volunteering I have high responsibility caring for children, and am trusted around infants as young as hours old. My family is mainly older than myself however I have a young cousin who I have cared for in the past, until they moved away to another county. Although I am hoping to make some extra money to save up for the future as my volunteering is a hobby and not a means of making any profit, I just want to fulfill my dream and be able to care for children to further my experience.
I hope to hear from you soon.
