Hi my name is Anika and I am 21 years old recently graduated in Global leadership last year, unfortunately I didn't want to go in this field of work anymore.
I love kids and working with children is always fun for me as I have many young nephews, nieces and cousins I'm all very fond of.
I have previously babysit a child under 1 years at the time who was half Russia and Italian and was such a delight to look after I do miss him alot , other than this I have babysit my family members children and their friends children due to busy work schedules and being away on business trips.
My mother got a job in the UAE and I moved with her for a year with family, during this period I used to do private tuition on a one to one basis with and had the TEFL Qualification to do so I also lived with the family to make travel easier and was provided with full accommodation.
My Aunty also a licensed Home day care provider , when I am free help her look after the children and cook meals for them.
My best qualities with children is genuinely enjoying the time spent with them, I believe all children are so innocent and loving and I can build a rapport with them very easily , alongside working with children I have worked with 14-19 year olds in a troublesome school and enjoyed this very much as connecting with them through conversation and setting guidelines for what is acceptable or not is understood I believe the youngsters then know what they can and can't do, this also brings a sense of respect as teachers and all elders should be respected. I have also mentored a young girl with drugs and alcohol problem this was set up for me as a university placement for 30 hours of one to one mentoring and I befriended the young girl and helped her out a lot, this gave me so much satisfaction as she really appreciated what I had done for her.
I am open to all types of care, previous experience of working with children was creating activities where everyone had to be silent in a challenge to improve communication skills directing each person through a square maze with the help of friends, this was one of the activities the youngsters enjoyed and came to the conclusion working in a team can get the job done and sometimes having a loud voice isn't always needed aslong as what is needed to be told is communicated.
Alongside this I have done many fun and challenging activities that I have personally enjoyed myself, in terms of education when I used to tutor I created puzzles for the children these were mathematical and to improve their English speaking, reading and writing skills.
