Samantha, au pair - B9 Birmingham

My name is Samantha but I am often called Sam.
I'm 20 years old and currently live in Birmingham and finishing my last year in college studying photography.

I do not currently hold a DBS but happy to provide one. I also do not hold a driving licence so all transport has to be do all travel has to be done via public transport (unless within walking distance)

I have many years of experience working with children both in personal and professional environments. Being the eldest child in my family I've had to show maturity from a young age taking on a hands-on role to help with the care of my younger family members.
In a professional aspect, I have also partaken in work experience at the age of 15/16 in a nursery and after school club, looking after children and babies of all ages. I also volunteered at the special unit at my high school and Sunday School Crèche.

This would be my first experience as being an au pair but I do believe I do have enough experience and maturity to carry out tasks to a high degree and standard. I'm hoping to work as an au pair for as long as I am needed. I am capable of changing nappies/helping with potty training, feeding children, washing and changing their clothes, doing the school run, providing educational but fun entertainment and other tasks required of me.

My hobbies include photography, performing arts, film-making and athletics. I speak fluent English and I have an understanding of German, having studied it for my GCSE's; I am also able to pick up other languages if it would be beneficial to the job I'm doing.
