Azaria, au pair - BS37 Yate

My name is Azaria and from the young age of 9 I was caring for my little sister who I adore, feeding her and getting her ready for school in the mornings and picking her up on my way home when she finishes. I then became an aunty 6 years ago and now look after my niece regularly. My past experience of working with children include voluntary work in a local school where I helped them through their school work, did a cooking class with them and did reading and mathematics exercises in small groups. In October 2014 I spent a month in Cambodia volunteering in an orphanage for children that were severely disabled or had HIV . This was an eye opening experience and a very hands on job. Staff at the orphanage were low so I was busy at all times, feeding the children at meal times, playing games and singing with them in groups or individually, changing nappies and assisting them in any way I could before tucking them in to bed. I have also recently just come home from being away for 2 months in India and Thailand. During my time in India I spent 2 weeks volunteering in a school in a slum which again included maths and English exercises and sports. I love spending time with children and am able to communicate with children of all ages and abilities. I am looking for full time or part time care for the summer and have unlimited availability.
