Presentation

I am an organized, grounded and, for my age, relatively well-experienced person who has an infectious, bubbly personality; this is coupled with an ability to get on with all types and characters of people from all walks of life and I am able to face both queries and/or complaints with a pleasing, positive and helpful attitude. My team-working skills are exemplary and can readily work alone and take the lead when required. I am extremely conscientious in everything I do and am very proud of my reliability to always be there and get things done come what may.
I have come to the stage in my studies and personal development where I can and wish to set aside some of my spare time to broaden my experience in the workplace proper; I am applying for this position hoping most sincerely that it will be with you. I can work any weekday as I am flexible.
I am quite certain that, given the opportunity of presenting myself at interview, I will be able to demonstrate my abilities to perform all the tasks demanded of this post and also to offer you a flexible, hard-working and gregarious team-member.

I have had experience in two Primary Schools as work experience in 2012 and 2015, having a teaching assistant role, such as; helping children who need extra support with their work, help the children read, encouraging children to play, working with groups of children and on a one to one basis when needed. I also did work experience within the Pre-school I currently have an apprenticeship in now, working with the children, doing observations with them for my Award qualification at Sixth Form. From having the opportunity to do work experience, I gained good knowledge and understanding of working with children in the early year’s workforce. I used my experience skills when I started my apprenticeship within the pre-school and it helped me progress within the setting and gave me confidence.
The setting I currently work in, there are some children who have SEN (special education needs) and I help to work alongside the staff when they are filling in his summary’s etc, so I can gain knowledge and understanding of a child with special educational needs.
From having experience and current experience working in childcare, I have knowledge of the EYFS (Early year’s foundation stage), Safeguarding, Epi pen training, some SEN knowledge of being included in this work when at the setting I’m currently at, I am also a Key Worker to two children, so I have knowledge of end of term summaries, planning, how to provide next steps for the children and how to create an enabling environment. I have knowledge of the policies and procedures within the setting, such as: Child protection and reporting procedures, Security policy, Safeguarding policy, Behavior Policy, Inclusion policy, Medication policy, Evacuation procedures, Late collection policy, Equal opportunities, Illness, Allergies, Trips out, Accidents, injuries and incidents polices, Hygiene, First Aid, Safe work environment and many more that come into practice within a childcare setting.
I also have knowledge on being a Key Worker and planning within the setting.

I have gained skills from my experience working within Primary Schools and Pre-Schools and through family life. I am always flexible and willing to give up my spare time to help those who need it. I can work as part of a team as I have always been a part of a team, and can take feedback and give it when needed. My communication skills with adults and children are good as I can adapt from communication with adults/parents professionally and can praise and have a good clear, calm communication with children. I am a calm and friendly person, who is empathetic and caring at all times. I am smart and punctual.
I can plan activities to meet children’s individual needs and can create next steps from the planning. As being a key worker, I can observe children and use technology such as tapestry, to observe the children. I also do end of term summaries and next steps for my key children.
As being First Aid trained I have skills to protect all children when it comes to health and safety, and as doing a Safeguarding course, I can apply my skills and knowledge to safeguard all children within the setting.
I can cope to physical demands and can deal with difficult situations. I am always willing to learn new training and I have good written and verbal communication skills as I have had a lot of experience communicating.
I am quick to adapt to new people and environments and can work unsupervised, often taking the initiative when called on to do so. I am an excellent team player and have a friendly and gregarious nature that helps build strong relationships with colleagues.
I have learned the ability to work, at various times, both independently, finding speedy solutions to unexpected issues; and also within a team, providing parts of a bigger solution, all within tight deadlines.
