Catherine, au pair in Glasgow

Hello,
My name is Catherine, but everyone calls me Katy. I am 20 years old and a full-time Student studying Sociology at the University of Glasgow. I am half Scottish, half Italian and moved to Glasgow in 2013 after living in Tanzania for 13 years. I am a fun, bubbly and outgoing person. I love taking care of children and have done so since I was one. While having fun and getting to know the kids I look after is essential to establish a good working relationship, I also believe that mutual respect, educational activities and ultimately following the parent's wishes are vital aspects of being a child-carer. I can cook and speak French at a basic level, I'm very tidy and encourage the same with the children, I can make animal balloons, face-paint, I enjoy arts-and-crafts, I can assist with homework and school projects, nature walks, night-time care, I also have experience with babies and their overall care. I volunteered alongside my parents in an orphanage in Tanzania from age 13-16, providing reading and writing lessons as well as organizing and participating in events and activities for the children. I believe that expressing our adventurous natures and enjoying fun activities should be explored within a safe environment. I simply offer my full attention and full effort in caring for any children entrusted into my care.
