My name is Susanna and I am 32 years old.
Although I do not have any formal experience in childcare, I have looked after the children of relatives and friends on many occasions and took care of my younger brother, by 13 years, while my parents worked.
I have recently moved to the UK from Italy to live with family and hope to establish a home and career here. I love children and find that I have a natural ability to make them feel happy and secure. I am fluent in English. I am organised, efficient and extremely reliable. I am a people person and have an outgoing and bubbly personality. I welcome the opportunity to meet new people and to communicate with others. Where I to secure a child minding position I would be more than happy to teach Italian to the children if the parents wish.
I believe that a childminder should play, sing and talk to children, teaching them new vocabulary and skills and that television should not be used as a substitute for care, particularly in the early years. I would be willing to carry out some light housework duties as part of my role and to undertake the relevant first aid certificate as required.
I do not own a car but hold a full European Drivers Licence. I live in the SA7 area of Swansea and would therefore be able to travel quite easily within the Swansea area on public transport. I am able to work evenings and weekends if required, as well as through the night.
