I am a very kind, caring young man with a big heart and a big love of looking after and caring for children. I love nothing more than spending time playing with children, helping them learn, grow and develop in confidence, skills and interpersonal skills- as the oldest of 14 cousins I have spent many evenings and afternoons babysitting, looking after younger cousins and helping their parents cook and clean for them.
Furthermore, I am a very confident and intelligent person myself, and am currently finishing a degree, concentrating on Sport Psychology and the athletic development of children via distance study. My strong work ethic and motivation for learning is another thing I pride myself on and endeavour to pass on to any young person I spend time with.
In terms of my formal work experience, I have also shown significant aptitude in childcare, having held a position as a Camp Counselor at a Summer Camp in Ontario for two Summers (this Summer I took on the role of Unit Head, leading and organising 10 cabins of 6 to 12 year olds), a position as a Senior Prefect mentor in my High School, and a Youth and Community Coach for a Professional soccer team in England. This has taught me to be sensitive, mature and calm when interacting with children, and to provide safe, happy and comfortable environments for children to live and operate in. Furthermore, my A* in Food Technology in Secondary School has developed my cooking skills; this, combined with my passion for sport and proper nutrition, puts me in a strong position to cook and provide nutritious meals of high quality to your children.
