My name is Petra . I am a highly experienced nursery assistant looking for a career change. I am a bubbly and happy person seeking families in need of help! I can supply a calm and safe environment but also educational! Whilst working at a nursery i have gained lots of experiences in planning daily activities to comply with a child's needs.
Within my job my duties are;
Caring for under school age children in a nursery environment. To ensure safe working environment for staff and children alike. To prepare daily reports on children for parents and managers. To create and enable daily activities for children of varying ages and abilities from 6 months to 5 yrs old. To report to my line manager and ensure all policies and procedures are complied with on a daily basis. To undertake any training as prescribed by the nursery manager. To be part of a working group of employees within the nursery structure. To prepare and serve varied dietary balanced meals to age appropriate children. To ensure children and nursery environments are clean to meet health and safety requirements. To work within the nursery's overall structure. Daily opening and closing of risk assessment checks, through knowledge and understanding of Safeguarding procedures. Be part of ongoing Safeguarding investigations. Liaising with other agencies eg Ofstead, Social Services. o present and discuss childrens progress with parents of the key children I look after. To be part of staff and room meeting's every month where there is opportunity to have some influence over changes within the nursery environment. To be part of ensuring all staff are up to date with Fire drills, Health and Safety, Safeguarding, Vulnerable Children and all Nursery Policies. To work alongside new apprentices helping them to understand and induct them into Nursery policies and procedures.
