Katie, au pair in Eston TS6

I have completed L2 in Childcare at MCQ Training School. I enrolled on the 28th January 2013
I have also completed my Level 1 qualification in Childcare. Completing this course has given me the basic theory and knowledge to enable me to progress to a Childcare Level 2 course. I am now able to look for suitable employment within a childcare setting to enable me to progress on the apprenticeship. I completed my functional skills at Shape Training and I have now completed my L2 in Childcare and I am aiming to go onto my L3 in Childcare and my L2 in health and social care.
During my work experience in year 10 I went to Teesville Infants School where I worked with year 1 and year 2. I really enjoyed it and I realised how much effort and hard work is needed in this area of work. I would really like to learn more about this career as working with children and watching them develop and grow is of great interest to me. In my spare time I like to help my dad with his plastering jobs as I am learning how to plaster but also spending time with my dad. I had a one year apprenticeship with Montessori Pre School, which from being there I gained my Safeguarding, health and safety, food hygiene, first aid at work and also paediatric first aid.
