Hello, my name is Jessica,
Ideally I would like something that is more of a full-time employment, but I am very willing to do part-time child care as well.
The only professional qualification I have obtained is a GCSE in Health and Social Care, which had a lot to do with caring for children. This course actually involved me doing a placement for a couple of weeks in a primary school. I also have babysitting experience not only with my cousins but i did work for a family for quite a while doing regular babysitting, most of the time this involved me staying over night.
Although I am only 19 and don't have many professional qualifications i do have experience and I really enjoy working with children. I am a very patient and caring person.
Before my family moved to Lancashire we lived in Yorkshire and while we lived there I babysat two primary school children everyday after school for a few months. One of these children had autism, so I have experience with children with special needs.
I am very willing to learn more about childcare through more experience. I know how to play a wide variety of games in order to keep children entertained instead of them constantly being in-front of the TV for example.
