Fiona, au pair in Malvern link WR14

Hello, My name is Fiona and I am a 30 year old early years professional. My experience ranges from 3 months to 8 years although the majority of my experience has been with 2-5 year old's within a nursery setting. I worked there for over 8 years.

I am currently looking for either part time or full time work and I am flexible with times. I have an NVQ level 3 in childcare and my previous position was Toddler and Pre-school room supervisor.

I have many other qualifications and certificates to include paediatric first aid, emergency drug administration, healthier food and special diets, food hygiene, making early learning fun, learning and development, behaviour management, speech and language, bereavement and loss, children with disabilities, supporting developing readers and writers....to name but a few!

My passion is equality and diversity within the early years, I hold a level 2 qualification in this study and was equality and diversity co-ordinator at my previous workplace. I am up to date with legalities and I fully support children's understanding of different cultures, types of people and ways of life.

I am a very active practitioner and love singing, exercising, dancing and outdoor activities with the children. I believe the outdoors is a crucial part in a child's knowledge and understanding of the world and take every opportunity to make full use of outside resources.

I have a good working knowledge of the EYFS (early years foundation stage - curriculum) and know how to support individual children's development. Another activity I excel in is story telling, being able to capture their imaginations and hold important discussions about the stories morals.

I have had some basic training in SEN (special educational needs) and with disabled children. I also have experience of working with people with English as an additional language and learnt some Polish and African tribal language to help settle the children and make the parents feel welcome and valued. I would not hesitate to do this again with any language or other need that I felt I could provide.
