Hello! My name is Shabaz, and I am a qualified Primary School Teacher with Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and a PGCE in Primary Education. I live in Formby and am a full UK driving licence holder with my own transport, allowing me to travel easily to families across Formby, Southport, Crosby, Maghull, Liverpool and the surrounding areas.
I have extensive experience working with children and young people from EYFS through to Key Stage 5, both in mainstream education and specialist SEND settings. Alongside my teaching experience across Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2, I have worked as a SEND Teaching Assistant supporting children with autism, ADHD, SEMH needs, communication difficulties and additional learning needs. These experiences have equipped me with the skills to provide patient, nurturing and individualised care for every child.
As a qualified teacher, I understand child development and know how to create engaging, safe and stimulating environments where children can learn, play and flourish. Whether it's supporting homework, reading together, organising creative activities, encouraging outdoor play, preparing meals, establishing routines or simply providing a caring and dependable presence, I always strive to help children feel happy, secure and confident.
I believe every child is unique and deserves to be treated with kindness, patience and respect. I take time to build genuine relationships with the children I care for, learning about their interests, personalities and individual needs so I can provide the best possible support. I am calm, approachable and reliable, and I pride myself on creating a positive atmosphere where children feel comfortable being themselves.
I have a strong understanding of safeguarding and children's wellbeing, and I always place children's safety and happiness at the heart of everything I do. I also understand the importance of working in partnership with parents and maintaining open, honest communication to ensure consistency and reassurance for the whole family.
Outside of childcare, I enjoy architecture, history, museums, art galleries, trying new cuisines, road trips, gardening, watching films and spending quality time with my family. I enjoy bringing creativity, curiosity and fun into everyday activities and love helping children discover new interests while building their confidence and independence. If you're looking for a warm, trustworthy and experienced childcare professional who can provide both exceptional care and educational support, I would love to hear from you. I look forward to meeting your family and helping your child grow, learn and thrive in a safe, happy and nurturing environment.
My standard childcare rate is £17 per hour. For children requiring additional SEND support or educational support, including homework assistance, phonics or targeted learning activities, my rate is £20 per hour. Evening and weekend bookings are charged at £18 per hour. Overnight care is available and can be discussed on an individual basis, depending on your family's specific requirements. I am always happy to discuss your childcare needs and provide a personalised quote for regular or long-term bookings.
