Hello my name is Megan, I am 22 years old and I have 2 years paid and formal experience in childcare where I have cared for children from 8 weeks to 5 years of age, I am knowledgeable in aspects such as feeding, weaning, toilet/potty training as well as many other aspects such as milestones and helping children achieve them, I also have informal experience at placements while gaining my qualifications where I worked with primary school children in a TA based role, I have also informal experience with helping family, I helped with my nephew while his parents went to work and helped his mum in the first couple months after he was born, as I have worked in a nursery I have plenty of experience planning and implementing fun and creative activities with children of multiple age groups such as painting, using outdoor resources to explore different materials, dancing, puzzles and things such as water play, I am very patient and prefer to use gentle parenting techniques as it is extremely helpful in teaching children to recognise and regulate emotion and I am very positive and supportive towards those around me.
