Hello my name is Jemma and I am 20 years old. I am a hard-working and punctual person. I consider myself to be a good listener and a caring individual. I am currently a nursery practitioner in the toddler room and work well alongside other people as well as independently. I have previous experience as a room supervisor. I very much enjoy working with children as I feel it is such a rewarding career. I have a keen interest in all aspects of children and their learning journeys as it’s vital that all children’s early education experience has a massive effect on their later development in life. I have personal along with professional experience with children of different ages (3 months – 8 years old) and a wide range of needs. I am very familiar with the EYFS and all its aspect I have a very good understanding of it as it is used in my everyday job at present. I pride myself on the professional relationships I have made with the parents of the children who I currently work with. I feel my past experience in retail has given me the confidence and capability to interact with and communicate with people effectively. I love working with children of all ages and I enjoy watching them develop and thrive from their learning environment. I enjoy a challenge and I am keen to learn new things and to develop my skills. I have recently achieved my Level 3 Certificate for the Children and Young People’s Workforce but would very much like to take part in any training opportunities as learning is continual journey through life. I also love to get messy and involved in any activities the children want to do. I also love providing fun activities to do with the children e.g making playdough, all sorts of painting and making objects and much more.
