Kerry-leigh, au pair - PR1 Preston

Hello, I am an 18 year old female who loves children. I have a level 2 qualification in health and social care and performing arts. This enables me to be creative and offer creative activities for your children. I can sing which is my musical instrument. I do not have professional experience, however I have 25 cousins which I am the second oldest and one brother who is younger then me. So I have great knowledge when it comes to taking care of them, feeding them. Taking them to bed and keeping them occupied. One of my closest cousin's, Kiera, is a 6 year old girl with a brain tumour and I sometimes help her mother out with cleaning her tube, giving her medicine through her tube as she can't take it orally. Rubbing her back when she is sick and hugging her when she is I'll. Ringing the ambulance when her temperature is above 36 degrees and being there when she needs or wants me.

Some of my activities I have tried with my cousins is teaching them dances such as the Cha Cha Slide and the Macerana. Board games such as snake and ladders. I like to teach them some card games like black jack and go fish as they are easy for them to learn but challenging to the brain. I also love to play games like hide and seek and stuck in the mud.
