Sian, au pair - TN34 Hastings

I consider myself to be a mature, responsible, creative and reliable nanny with a good ability to connect and bond with children. I'm very much looking forward to furthering my career as a nanny and continuing to do what I love – working with children.

I have previous experience working as a live out for a single mum with a four year old boy (he was three when I started. My responsibilities included the following:
Getting dressed and ready for nursery in the morning and bringing him home from nursery
Taking him to play gym and other extra-curricular activities
Preparing and serving meals and snacks
Bathing and putting to bed
Reading stories and playing games
Taking part in activities in accordance with the Early Years Foundation Stage framework
Teaching phonics, letters and numbers

Alongside working as a nanny I also volunteered for one morning a week at the nursery my charge attends. I did this in order to further my knowledge and experience of looking after young children and to gain a perspective of how children learn outside the home environment.

As well as this I also currently babysit for three seperate couple. The ages of the children I look after are 18 months, 2 years, 5 years and 11 years old.
