I have over 5 years experience of working with children and young people, from placements in various settings as a part of course requirements.

I have 2A*'s in Childcare, 2B's in Health and Social Care, and am now a fully qualified Level 3 Childcare practitioner, who holds the qualification 'CACHE Level 3 Diploma for Children’s Care, Learning and Development (Wales and Northern Ireland) (QCF)'.

I undertook voluntary work for a year with Bridging the Gap Youth, who deals with young people with disabilities and learning difficulties. This helped me to understand how to care for individuals with complex needs.

I have two younger brothers whom I have taken care of all my life, so I can relate to the importance of childcare on a personal level. For example, I have helped my parents with everything from changing nappies, to keeping my brothers entertained and occupied.
