Paige, baby sitter in Basildon SS14

I found Paige Evans' advert in a shop window advertising herself as a dog walker I rang her and within that week she walked my dog daily while I was at work. She continued to do so until I had gone on maternity leave which then I took over. She showed interest in working with children and asked if she could babysit once a month to gain experience. At first I was reluctant due to her age but gave her the opportunity in the daytime . I went back to work when my son was 6 months and was looking for a childminder as she was doing a great job I offered her a two week trial (paid) as I prefer a home childminder than a nursery (due to being so young). Within the two weeks she showed great improvement , kept on top of all things and was very good at multi tasking. First week back I was very anxious about leaving him and she would always provide updates and pictures when I requested them , not because I didn't trust her it was for my own peace of mind. I would leave notes for the day such as - what prep meals was to be used first, teething instructions and what medication , if any he had taken earlier. When I'd come home at 6 he was ready for bed , the room was tidy of his toys and she had cleaned all food bowls and everything he had used throughout the day. I chose to hire her as a childminder but she always went beyond and helped with some house work which was a great help! Her main qualities are - great at keeping my son occupied and stimulated by playing with him indoors , out in the garden (appropriate clothing was put on with sun cream if necessary) and taking him to the local park / soft play to interact with children as my working hours restricted me to do that with him. She's great at planning ahead and will always clean him after dinner / run a bath ready if she knows he will make a mess - normally food in the hair! When I started weaning him she was worried about chocking but soon relaxed the more he ate and always provides healthy snacks throughout the day . I trust her to give him medication as I explain to her how many doses and how many hours apart if unsure she will always check the instructions or if in serious doubt to contact me but that has not yet happened . I recommend her as she is great with my son and she has shown determination to gaining experience in childcare. She is more than a childminder she's not only took care of my son in the weekdays but she is a great support. She has asked me to provide a reference which I am more than happy to do as she worked very hard and became a part of our family . I will be sad to see her go but I wish her all the best in her career.
