Georgia, baby sitter in Bournemouth BH7

Hello! My name is Georgia, I am 21 years old and studying Television production at Bournemouth University. I have spent my last two summers working at a summer camp in America. It was pretty much a 24/7 job. Not only was a I teaching children, ages 5-16, videography but I was also caring for them. Over the two summers I have been in charge of cabins, ages 9-16. This entailed sleeping in their cabin, waking them up , making sure they showered regularly, kept up with their own personal hygiene, made sure they attended all meals, sat with them at mealtimes ensuring they were eating enough aswell as the correct kind of foods, dealing with cabin arguments and other problems with children, listening and caring for them when they were feeling home sick as well as having regular contact with their parents to keep them updated on how they were doing. You really had to be a role model for these children and with the feedback at the end of the summer, not only from parents but the children themselves, I know I did a excellent job in providing this for them. I loved every minute of my job and hope to eventually go back in to teaching eventually.
Whilst on my gap year before uni I volunteered with a children's charity called safe at last, providing help and a friendly person to turn to for children who were running away from home.
Performing arts is another major interest of mine. I moved down to London at the age of 16 in order to pursue my dreams of drama school. I have performed in many amateur dramatic performances and taught myself to play guitar, ukulele and piano. I love incorporating music and performance into my lessons and child care!
I find in order to keep a child interested and amused you need to be confident, lively and not scared to make a bit of a fool of yourself. Equally I understand the need for the balance between having fun mixed with discipline.
The type of care i am looking to do is part time/occaisional baby sitting.
