I am Rossana, 21 years old from the north of Italy. I've been living in London for two years, studying pharmacology at King's College London. I currently live in Cambridge as I've started one year of placement in a pharmaceutical industry and that is why I am looking for an occasional job.
I decided to look for babysitting as I think it would be one of the most flexible type of jobs I could find around here (having already a full time job), which would not take too many hours of my free time. More importantly I would like to try this experience because I enjoy spending time with children of any age. In fact I have previously been a babysitter of two children of 3 and 5 years (occasionally). I like trying to entertain them with different activities from playing to learning, massively avoiding passiveness. My personal experience and the studies I did, taught me that is essential for kids not to spend all their free time watching TV or eating food; therefore I would try to do my best in order to make them feel comfortable and happy about the time spent together.
I like doing any type of activity and if I cannot do something I like learning. During the past few years I have been doing ballet and modern dance, playing the piano for ten years, in addition of two years of swimming and singing. When I want to relax I personally prefer reading or listening to music rather than watching TV.
I finally think that trying to be a babysitter would be a great and positive opportunity for me as well, as I would get in contact with new people, with the possibility of establishing positive interactions. Overall I believe that this would be a pleasant experience for both parts.
Occasional babysitting | $10.00 per hour |
This is just the ideal price I'd like to ask, but it can obviously be discussed and adjusted if it looks to be excessive.
