Bronwyn, baby sitter - CF31 Bridgend

Hi, my name is Bronwyn and I'm 19 years old. I'm still in school completing my A levels.
During my GCSE years I took child care as at the time my nephew had just been born and i was interested in understanding how children develop and how children with learning difficulties develop differently and what care they would need.
During the child care class it was compulsory that we learnt first aid.
I have done two work experiences in different settings; I had my first work experience in the Princess of Wales hospital nursery and my second work experience with year 1 pupils in Pen-Y-Bont primary school. In addition to that i have also babysat four children of the ages 10, 7, 3 and 1 years old.
I have cooked for these children and made sure that I knew about their dietary needs, as each child was at a different age I had to find games or activities that would intrigue them all. On days when the weather was bad the children would usually want to watch a film, read or have something read to them, play with cards etc.
On days when the weather was nice I would take them to the park and take objects with us that they could play with on the field just behind the park, such as a football and skipping rope.

Your children's or child's safety is my number one priority when babysitting, I have a no shouting policy and I try to make them laugh and have fun as much as possible.
