Katriona, baby sitter in Dundee

Hello
My name is Katriona and I am a third year criminological studies student at the University of Abertay Dundee.
I am looking to provide childcare for children of any age as I would love to work with children when I leave uni. I attend uni for around 8 hours a week so am extremely flexible and able to commit to your needs. I also volunteer at Dundee Foodbank and the hours for this are adaptable and are chosen by myself at a last minute basis so I am able to work this around your needs. I hold a PVG and have a huge amount of experience working with young people and those with special needs.

A bit about myself!
I have an older brother, who was diagnosed with asperger's syndrome at the age of six. I have always been fully aware of his needs and have spent the majority of my life supporting him and dealing with his specific requirements. I also volunteered at a group for autistic children and feel as though I have a huge amount of experience in dealing with those with additional needs.
I come from a family where I am surrounded by younger children. My cousins range from the ages of 21 to 1 so I am used to children of all ages and enjoy spending time with all of them and engaging in activities. On numerous occasions I have been left to care for the children for full days, and occasionally night time too. Upon leaving school, I travelled out to Sydney where I became an au pair for my uncle and aunt. I looked after my cousins aged 3, 5 and 7 at the time and this involved everything from waking them up for school, feeding them, bathing them, putting them to bed, playing with them and helping with homework and extra curricular activities.
In terms of working with young people, I have also worked with Youth Link Dundee who support vulnerable children in the area.

As a person, I am extremely creative and playful. I spend pretty much all of my spare time drawing, painting, baking and reading. I am also very active and enjoy walking and playing games. I am more than happy to do any of these activities with your child and also teach them new skills and hobbies.

In regards to pets, I have a 7 year old dog at my family home which I absolutely adore so would have absolutely no issue with your own pets and can incorporate their care into my work for you.

Overall, I am a very determined and trustworthy person who loves working with children and I feel I am highly skilled in this area. I know it can be daunting to leave your child with someone who is unknown to yourself but rest assured, your child is in very safe and experienced hands and will be taken care of as if they were my own.
