My name is Katrina, I am 20 years old and I currently work as a Learning Support Assistant in a Year R/Foundation stage class. I am NVQ level 3 qualified in childcare, I gained this qualification through an apprenticeship at a nursery. During school holidays I do some work for a supply agency in nurseries, play schemes and creches. I have a sister with Down Syndrome who I cared for her a lot when I was growing up.
I am enthusiastic and caring, I love the outdoors and feel it is important to keep children active and engaged. I am happy to join in with childrens games, as well as encourage them to get involved with new activities. Having a lot of school based experience, I feel I am very able to assist children with their school work.
In September I am going to university to start my degree in Primary Teaching, with a specialism in early years.
I am confident in the kitchen and am very hands on with small household chores, I would be happy to help out where it is required.
