Lauren, baby sitter in Gilwern

I am a Level 2 qualified child carer. I am a friendly, enthusiastic and polite individual currently studying teacher training and counselling at university. I love children and have experience of care with both my 2 younger siblings and a number of foster children that we have welcomed into our family. Within this I gained experience of looking after children in mainstream education and those with special needs. I have babysat in professional setting such as meeting for Monmouthshire social services and for parents that need help. I have worked in a number of schools, in a number of different classes and feel that this has helped me gain knowledge of all types of children and how to help them in educational situations and life in general. I am studying to be a teacher and feel passionately about children with special educational needs, I would ideally like to work as a special needs teacher when I qualify. As well as this I am currently living with a foster child who his self has additional learning needs. I feel that this is because I have a large amount of patience and a good initiative.

I have worked for 2 years at the Abergavenny summer play scheme, I realise what it is like to work with high numbers of children and how to handle this as well as learnt a lot of ways to keep children entertained and happy. I feel as though this job is suited to me because I love working with energetic enthusiastic children and providing them with good care a fun in their summer holidays.

I am CRB checked in several different counties including Monmouthshire, Glamorgan, Newport and Powys.
