Hello! My name is Emma.
I am currently attending college and am studying Children's Play, Learning and Development National Diploma (Level 3).

I have previous experience working with 1 year olds, however, as part of my course I have worked with a variety of age ranges in different settings as part of my placement(s). The ages of the children I have worked with are 0-3 years in a toddler setting within a nursery, 2-4 in a nursery setting and 4-8 in a school setting.

During my placements I have worked with practitioners and teachers to support them with day to day tasks to ensure they are delivering the best possible care and learning opportunities for their children. I have learnt a great deal during these placements as they have taught me skills that I would not have acquired if I hadn't been given the opportunity to gain experience.

In my free time, I volunteer for Girlguiding UK and work with children aged 7-14 years old through both Brownies and Guide units. I have been volunteering for 5 years now and love everything that they involve me in. At Brownies, when they first come in we play games in which I lead. These include duck duck goose, ladders, Chinese whispers and many more. Brownies are young girls aged 7-10 years and love craft, dancing, and baking to name just a few. At Guides I assist the leaders in planning activities and then running them at our weekly meetings. Guides are young girls aged 10 - 14 years and love competitive games, completing badges, going camping and many more different activities.
