Alison, babysitting in Braintree CM7

I have stated that I have a first aid qualification because it is due (paediatric) to be renewed next month. I am 57 years of age and I am currently employed within a professional private nursery. I gained my NVQ3 diploma in child care two years ago in order to better understand
my work. My professional title is now called an QEYE, which is "qualified early years educator", previously known as nursery nurse.
My employer is keen to keep it's staff up to date with necessary qualifications in first aid, food hygiene and health and safety, in all of which I have gained basic certificates. Since gaining my diploma I have also been employed by the company as it's health and safety coordinator and I often assist with the company's after school child collections and care.
When I left school(many years ago!), I worked for HM Customs and Excise for two years and then became an Essex police officer for over twenty years. I retired early just in time formy own daughter to start school. I became a "stay at home mum" for two or three years then decided to take up part time employment to keep myself busy. I worked as a lunch time assistant for three and a half years in a local primary school then successfully applied for my current position where I have been working part time for the last six and a half years.
I have always had an interest in languages and whilst "resting" I took a basic diploma and GCE in Spanish. I am very rusty in my knowledge of languages but although I may have forgotten much vocabulary I seem to have retained at least an ability to read and pronounce the languages well. My French knowledge is by far my better foreign language. I am more than happy to "brush up" on any of these languages if they can be of use.
I am content in my main employment but feel I am in need of a challenge in my life due to a change in family circumstances.
My current employers have stated that they are very pleased with the way I communicate with children of all ages and I do seem to have a natural rapport with them. I am a discreet, hard working and responsible person who believes that good manners and respect towards others are vital.
