I am 20 years old and live in Darlington. I am looking for a role that involves working on an evening with Children that are in the 5 months to 7 year bracket.
Both my auntie and mother are and have been childminders, and it has given me experience and joy from observing and playing with childminding children of a variety of ages. I particularly find pleasure in encouraging exploration and learning through the natural world and play that is both practical and imaginative.
Activities I have recently created to join in with my aunties childminding children was a nature hunt. The children enjoyed spotting different animals and mini beasts, splashing in puddles and getting creative tracing and drawing around leaves. Other times I have helped out with reading, imaginitive role play and arts and crafts.
