Hi I'm Saskia ,
I am a fun loving, confident 16 year old with experience at an after school kids club with ages between 7-11, I was a volunteer there for 4 months but had to stop due to my exams taking place and having to revise.
I also have a younger sister of 8 who i have been caring for frequently since she was born.
my hobbies include singing, painting and writing. I have received 12 A*-C grade GCSE's and am happy to help with homework and housework.
I studied food technology for 4 years and got a B grade in GCSE so i have hygiene and cooking skills.
I am happy to work till late, and I also am fully aware of household rules which I am always consistent too because I fully believe routine is essential especially with young children.
But overall I believe my best attributes are my friendly nature, social skills, cleaning and cooking skills and love for children.

Saskia attended Kidzone as a member when she was a pupil at Carterknowle Junior school. Some years later she contacted me to see if she could carry out her Duke of Edinburgh placement with us. I had very positive memories of Saskia and after a visit, subject to good references she began her 'placement'. Saskia was very good with her timekeeping and communication in relation to anything preventing her from attending. She also showed good communication skills with the children and was able to initiate activities with the children. Unlike some younger people, Saskia was more than willing to take part in the less attractive activities such as washing up. Saskia showed good listening skills and was able to work on her own initiative, a bonus for me, as we are not a very structured or curriculum led organisation. I would recommend Saskia because I think she cares and also children would benefit from her working at a provision.
