Hi, My name is Shannon. I am 17 years old and I have just finished a level three course in Animal management. Even though I am not qualified in child care, I am fully aware of the time, patience and care it takes to look after a child.

I am a fun and enthusiastic person that is hardworking and has a strive to succeed. I am always punctual and I am extremely attentive to detail but most importantly I am patient and understanding. All of these qualities contribute towards being an excellent child carer.

All of my life, I have over shadowed family members and have contributed to the care of the new family members and as I began to get used to caring for children I had learned that child care is an area to which I can succeed and exceed in.

I have always had an interest in painting, drawing and other creative activities, which lead me to classing the above as hobbies as I love doing them so much! I also love to read and I have read books such as the classic Alice and Wonderland and The Secret Garden. I am also interested and very much enjoy a lot of games such as board games, electronic games and many more.

The reason why I would stand out against other carers is because I am a very caring and reasonable young lady. I understand that patience is needed when looking after a child of any age because in order for a child to fully understand right from wrong, an adult role model needs to set a good example and lead the way.
