Achievements and responsibilities:
• Cared for two children from the ages of two and 18 months old
• Developed key skills such as organisation, attentiveness and determination through the process of having to care for the children’s wellbeing at all times
• Skills such as learning how to be fair in difficult circumstances have also been developed due to having to divide attention between the two children, especially when one demanded more due to disease
• Can work well under pressure as working with children is constantly unpredictable and so you are expected to respond to problems quickly and efficiently in a calm manner
• Able to take on and manage big responsibilities. Looking after children also includes taking responsibility for teaching and shaping them into happy and moral adults
• Professionally dealt with language barriers with the children, their first language not being English but Chinese. Showing good initiative and developing personal skills in areas such as problem solving
• Taken a great part in the education of the children, teaching the English language, life skills, morals and educational skills such as numeracy, reading and writing.
