Hi my name is Jess. I am a medical student, looking for occasional babysitting work.
Qualifications
- DBS checked
- trained in Basic Life Support
- Childcare Level 3 qualification (NCFE)
Experience
I currently work in a youth centre with children aged 6-9 years old, which involves me playing with the children and thinking up activities to keep them engaged.
I have previously worked in a pre-school (3-5 years), as a classroom assistant (4-6 year olds), at a holiday play scheme (4-12 years) and as a mentor to Year 7 students (11 year olds) helping them to make the transition from primary to secondary school. I also spent 4 months in Ghana where I worked in an orphanage and taught at a school.
I love spending time with children and it doesn't really feel like work to me! I would make a good babysitter because I am friendly and enthusiastic and very reliable. I am quite a creative person and love thinking up things to keep the children entertained! I am also willing to assist with homework should this be needed.
