Abbigail, baby sitter - SO15 Southampton

Dear Lily. This is my reference for Abbigail. This information is as accurate as possible, to best describe Abbigail's suitability for the role applied. I am an OFSTED registered childminder, Abbigail took on the role as my childminding assistant and worked with me from February 2013- March 2014. Abbigail works alongside me at my new home based setting as a registered OFSTED childminder. Abbigail was a fantastic assistant and is a superb childminder who continues to go above and beyond in for filling her role. Abbigail undertook various training both in house and at different venues, attended regular meetings, all of which were outside Abbigail's working hours. Abbigail has great knowledge and understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stages, which reflects greatly on her day to day interaction with the children, parents and myself. Abbigail is very reliable and often offers to provide additional care when needed, at times I have asked Abbigail to do this at short notice which Abbigail has been kind enough to do. Abbigail's and I assist eachother throughout day to day tasks and activities... -Welcoming children in and out. -Providing parents with information on how their child/children had been throughout the day. -Preparing snacks, lunch and a high tea. -Changing nappies, toilet training, helping in other care giving duties and continually promoting independence skills. -Planning stimulating activities for all children's individual developmental stage and appropriate next steps. -Providing observations and next steps for children. -Taking the children to groups and fun outings. -Adhering to all policy's and procedures.
