A level three experienced childcare student(when I finish college in June) with a positive disposition and determination to grow and achieve my best. I have high aspirations for myself which is essential when developing high expectation for children. I have developed interpersonal skills that enable me to successfully work as part of a team but I am also able to work independently using my own initiative. I am hardworking and I am committed to achieving my very best.
During my level three early year’s course, I attended a nursery and am currently attending a primary school where I have gained experience of working with children aged from 0 to 7 years old. In placement, I played a key role in the planning processes; developing opportunities, experiences and activities to enable children build upon their learning in all of the areas of learning and development in the Early Years Foundation Stage EYFS.
My experience working with children has enabled me to understand the importance of supporting children’s confidence and independence. Snack times have always been a fun opportunity to develop self-help skills and to socialise. My experience has enabled me to acknowledge the need to develop the environment to support children to access the environment, be and feel safe, promote learning and development and to share and celebrate children’s similarities and differences.
For the first year at college, I achieved an 'A' for my overall grade for the year which was marked by my grades in my coursework and my external essay.
I aspire to become an Early Years Educator EYE working on the front line where I can make a difference to children’s lives. My aims for progression are to lead and manage an Early Years setting.
