Ruba, baby sitter - WF1 Wakefield

I'm a 19 year old student taking a gap year before going into university next year with a fully flexible schedule. I've always been told that I am naturally good with children and that is something I take great pride of. I make bonds with children of all ages easily and find it enjoyable to communicate and listen to them. I have two younger siblings myself that I've always looked after and cared my whole life. I have also occasionally looked after younger cousins and family friends' children, providing food, tidying, helping with homework and putting the children to bed.

I was elected as Junior School prefect in sixth form and spent much of my time volunteering after school or during my free time and giving one on one support to some of the children with their studies. I have also undertaken the Paired Reading scheme at my school where I have helped younger children with reading disability to improve by providing one on one support.
I am also currently a teacher at a Saturday school (Ilm Tree Foundation), introducing different approaches to teaching which the children are finding useful and enjoyable.

I am qualified in First Aid and Mental Health First Aid and have applied this knowledge in many areas such as volunteering in a special needs school which has taught me incredible lessons about teaching with children in general.

From their wild imaginations to their messiest moments, I find spending time with children genuinely delightful and interesting. I make sure that I look after them with extra care but also listen attentively and make sure they fully express themselves and make themselves comfortable around me. I'm constantly making strong bonds with some of the children that I have looked after or helped academically and I find looking after children extremely rewarding.

I am responsible, empathetic, creative and fun loving...and not to mention I tell amazing bed time stories!!!
